JATC 26 Staff Invited to White House 1/30/10

On Saturday January 30th, the JATC staff was treated to a guided tour of the White House. As the snow began to fall outside, some of the little known historical facts about the building and its contents were shared with the staff. For example, it was explained that the official portrait of JFK, the President is looking down. The artist Arron Shikler felt that since he had never seen the president in person, he would not be able to do his eyes justice in the portrait.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to President Obama for the invitation.
