Can someone explain to me a little about this program? i signed up and i have like 283 people in front of me. Should i still try and call every friday or should i just wait till november to attempt calling? also they said the starting pay will be $11.25. im an r1 but is the the standard pay for an entry level? I have also applied to the apprentiship, how much will this boost my pay and if i am accepted to the apprenticeship will i be working with the same contractor or will i be placed with a different group?

A great place to get some of this information is on the front screen of the website. Click on "Start Your Career" and then select the Inside Wireman A program and/or Residential program to see the wage packages.
I find it hard to believe that you have 283 people in front of you. If your number is 283, that means that you signed up for the training program on day 283 (Julian Date) of 2011. October 10th is the 283rd day of the year.
You should definitely call every Friday to see what numbers are in the top 10. If there is a job available for your classification, you can come in and if no one with a better number than you shows up you may get the job.
