| Description: | Prerequisites for the EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program)installer certification are that each student have a current journeyman's or master's license and or have successfully completed the Inside Wireman Apprenticeship Program. This is a fast paced 21 hour (7 night) class, covering topics such as the history of electric vehicles, electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) manufacturers, electric vehicle supply equipment site assesment and installation, NEC rules and regulations, utility policy and integration, consumer relations, and electric vehicle manufacturers. In order to certify at the completion of the class, the participant must pass a written test and be capable of sucessfully calculating a residential service load. Certification is through the EVITP (electric vehicle infrastructure training program) Attendance is mandatory for all sessions in order to sit for the certification exam. |
